The Cougars used a balanced scoring attack as nine different players hit the back of the net. Nick Medwid led Springfield with four total points (all assists). Parker King and Sean Smolcynski scored for the Lions. Jim Donegan turned aside 22 of 24 shots in the win while John Mundy stopped 35 of 44 shots for Penncrest.
