This past Friday all three of Unionville High School’s hockey teams held a Unite for Her/Pink the Rink event, which was held at Ice Line in West Chester, PA.

While the boys’ varsity team wore pink jerseys, there was a bake sale and Chuck-A-Puck. According to team Spokesperson Tonia Kulp, all the events raised over $800 for Unite for Her.

“I think our greatest message is creating awareness around an organization that impacts so many local women and their families in our community” stated Kulp. “One our middle school moms was a client of Unite for Her and spoke about how the organization directly impacted her and her family.  We held a pizza party at Ice Line for our two middle school teams, our Girls Varsity and our boy’s JV and Varsity teams with great participation and all participants were able to hear directly from our speaker. We also were very fortunate to have an extremely generous donor, and longtime friend of the club, who sponsored the pink jerseys with no cost to the club or families” concluded Kulp.
