First seed Salesianum will host second seed Delaware Military Academy tonight for the 2019 Delaware Cup. The game begins at 7:00PM and will be played at The Pond in Newark, DE.

This will be the third time these teams will be meeting this year, with the Sallies sweeping the two-game series 2 – 0 and 4 – 2. Salesianum’s Dylan Johnson had six points (2 goals and 4 assists) to lead all scorers.
How they advanced to the 2019 Delaware Cup
Salesianum defeated fourth seed Saint Marks 4 – 0 on Monday night. Graham Burke stopped all 26 shots he faced while Dylan Johnson (2 goals) and Jonathan Anthony (1 goal and 1 assist) each had two points. Box score.
Delaware Military Academy defeated third seed Appoquinimink 9 – 3 Monday. Anthony Catron had five points (3 goals and 2 assists) while fellow Seahawk Lukas Cook had four points (3 goals and 1 assist). Anthony Guerrieri turned aside 22 of 25 shots in the win. Box score.

Four Delaware based Inter-County Scholastic Hockey League (ICSHL) teams begin play tonight for the Delaware Cup. The schools are: Number one seed Salesianum, second seed Delaware Military Academy, third seed Appoquinimink and fourth seed Saint Marks.
Salesianum plays Saint Marks at 7:40PM while Delaware Military Academy and Appoquinimink play at 9:20PM.
The winner of each game plays on Wednesday night at 7:00PM. All games will be played at The Pond in Newark, DE.

Tonight begins the 40th season of the Flyers Cup, and twenty-three Inter-County Scholastic Hockey League (ICSHL) teams will be vying for the Scholastic Championship.
The 2019 Flyers Cup will include more than 50 teams competing in five divisions – AAA (private/parochial schools), AA (large public), A (small public), New Jersey/Delaware, and the Girls Division. In addition to the ICSHL, participating teams come from the Suburban High School Hockey League (SHSHL), the South Jersey High School Ice Hockey League, Central Pennsylvania Interscholastic Hockey League (CPIHL), Lehigh Valley Scholastic Hockey League and Atlantic Prep Athletic Conference.
The ICSHL contingent is comprised of twenty boys’ teams and three girls’ teams.
WC Bayard Rustin is the number seed in the A bracket while Downingtown East is the top seed in the AA bracket and Unionville is the top seed in the girl’s bracket.
The tournament will conclude on March 17 will all five championship games will be held at the Wells Fargo Center.
