ICSHL announces girls’ varsity 2018-19 All-ICSHL Teams

The Inter-County Scholastic Hockey League (ICSHL) has announced its girls’ varsity All-ICSHL team for the 2018-19 season. The selections are based on performance during the 2018-19 regular season, as voted upon by the league’s 14 head coaches.

All-ICSHL First Team
Goalie:  Mattie Robitzer, Unionville
Defense: Ava Rinker, OJR-Boyertown
Defense: Susan Roselli, Bishop Shanahan
Forward: Sam Hughes, OJR-Boyertown
Forward: Amanda Wallace, Bishop Shanahan
Forward: Sammy Schultz, Downingtown West

All-ICSHL Second Team
Goalie: Katie O’Brien, Penncrest-Haven
Defense: Rachel Craig, Garnet Valley
Defense: Emma Van Oostrom, Bishop Shanahan
Forward: Mia Impagliazzo, Unionville
Forward: Abby Hill, Conestoga

ICSHL announces girls’ varsity 2018-19 All-Division Teams

The Inter-County Scholastic Hockey League (ICSHL) has announced its girls’ varsity All-Division teams for the 2018-19 season. The first and second teams represent the two girls’ divisions of the ICSHL: National and American as voted upon and selected by the league’s 14 head coaches. The All-Division teams are based on performance during the 2018-19 regular season.

All-National Division First Team

Defense: Ava Rinker, OJR-Boyertown
Defense: Rachel Craig, Garnet Valley
Forward: Sam Hughes, OJR-Boyertown

The 2018-19 girls’ varsity All ICSHL Team will be announced on Sunday, March 10.

Girls Varsity Championship Games Tonight

The Girls National and Girls American championship games will be held tonight at Ice Line on rink four. The Girls National game pits number one seed OJR-Boyertown against second seed Garnet Valley at 6:30PM. The Girls American game has number one seed Penncrest-Haven against second seed Bishop Shanahan at 8:15PM.

Garnet Valley @ OJR-Boyertown
Number one seed OJR-Boyertown finished the regular season in first place with a 13-1-2 record for 28 points. They reached the finals by defeating fourth seed Downingtown West 3 – 1 in the divisional semi-final game.

Garnet Valley came in second in the regular season with a 12-2-2 record for 26 points, two behind OJR-Boyertown. The Jaguars defeated third seed Unionville 2 – 1 to advance to the title game.

This will be the third game between these two teams. OJR-Boyertown won the first game 1 – 0 while the second game was tied at one.

Girls American
Bishop Shanahan @ Penncrest-Haven
First seed Penncrest-Haven finished the regular season atop the Girls American division with a 13-3-0 record for 26 points. They defeated fourth seed Radnor 5 – 1 to play for the divisional championship.

Second seed Bishop Shanahan finished in third place during the regular season with a 10-4-1 record. Shanahan defeated third seed Lansdale Catholic 3 – 2 to punch their ticket into the Girls American championship game.

Penncrest-Haven won both games between these two teams during the regular season: 7 – 3 and 5 – 4 respectively.
